It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Alton Jones, age 83, who was called to be with our Lord on February 28, 2025.

Born on December 22, 1941, in Houston, Texas, to Burt Mansell Jones and Odessa Lee Mallory, Richard lived a life full of love and joy.
Richard had a passion for riding his golf cart and found great pleasure in sharing his musical talents, often singing and playing the mandolin and guitar in church. He also enjoyed participating in the Christmas parade, bringing cheer to those around him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved children’s mother, Claudette Sue Jones Barker; his parents, Burt and Odessa; and his brother, David Edwards.
Richard is survived by his dear friend, Darlene Pickett; his daughters, Trina Finch and husband Leo, and Jo Carol Mann and husband Carey; and his son, Richard “Beaux” Jones and wife Brooke.
Richard leaves behind a loving legacy of 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom he cherished deeply. He will be profoundly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
