Rev. L.C. Lewis, 79, a resident of Waco, TX, was born in Freeport, TX, on October 5, 1935 to Henry Lewis and Luella Shepard. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 24, 2015.

The family will accept visitors, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, on Friday, May 29, 2015, from 6:00-8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 1:00 PM at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, in Brookshire, TX. Final interment will be at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Pearland, TX.

L.C. is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Irene Lewis. His devoted children: three daughters—Jean Corsey (James) and Lisa Ward (Thomas Sr.), both of Waco, TX and Henri Lewis, of Odessa, TX. Caring grandchildren: Michelle Wright (William) of Oxen Hill, MD, Thomas Taylor of St. Paul, MN, Raychele Broussard of Waco, TX, Thomas Ward, Jr., Bria Ward, and Lauren Ward all of Waco, TX.

    To: The family of Rev. L. C. Lewis, It is with heartfelt concern that I, Herman Davis, Jr. send you this belated note of condolence. Our prayers are with each of you during this hour and for days to come. I received the new this morning of the passing of L. C. a young man and his family I have known all of my life. I grew up in Freeport as well as attended the same school (Lanier High ). After high school I left to attend college in Austin, Texas and from there the rest is history, the military and living and working abroard. May God bless each of you and keep you in His care.
