Gosh I can remember when we were just kids in elementary school and how we all rode our bikes up and down the streets of the Dean Highland neighborhood. Randy will be missed by all, he was such a great guy!

  2. Ann & Matt Easley

Fond memories of a great friend. "Daddy Ray" thought the world of him and so did we.

  3. Randy was a wonderful man. He was my father in law and all the thanks goes to him that I am married to his son and now have a beautiful son. If it were not for Randy I would have never met Cory. He was a great Papaw and loved Mason so much. We will miss you so much and remember the memories we have shared together over the past years. Love you Dad and Papaw

Penny and Phyllis–I was so sad to hear about Randy. I have such happy and fond memories of our childhood. I recently got to hash over old times with Randy when he brought his dogs to the vet and he had me laughing so hard recalling some of the times we all had with Nena and PawPaw Kophal and your mom and dad! You and the entire family are in my thoughts and prayers.
    Love,
    Debbie

Phyllis and Penny, I was so sorry to hear about Randy. I remember all of the fun we had playing together(and getting in trouble) when we were kids living on Live Oak and Pine Ave. Randy was always such a great guy. You all are in my prayers.

  10. Duane & Estelle Long

  12. Randy, you were always my favorite "kissin" cousin! The very best times of my life were when all of us cousins were hanging out at Hilda’s house…what I’d give to get that time back. We didn’t realize it at the time, but you taught me NOT to smoke when we snuck out by the Pustejovsky’s house and lit up a cigarette. I never will forget coughing my lungs out and I never smoked again after that! You were even my first kiss! Great times Randy, great times.
Part of me wishes I could be where you are. I miss my mom so much. It seems the older we get, the less we understand about this thing called life and for me I can’t stop trying to figure it out.
So you’re in that better place now. I hope it’s everything that they say it’s suppose to be and more! Meet me between Hilda’s and the Putsejovsky’s house and tell me all about it…but leave the cigarettes behind cuz.

  13. Greg and Cindy Hastings

Our condolences to Randy’s family. (I also left a private entry in the Guestbook.)

  14. Greg and Florance Wagner

Randy and I worked together for years at Mike Staas Services but we are also close friends. I will miss my buddy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Pam French and Corey Turnmire and his family.

  15. Phyllis, Penny and the rest of the family – I am still so shocked and sad over Randy’s death. We were best friends growing up, best man in each other’s wedding and blood brothers (literally…..remember the trip to Six Flags where I cut his hand (or maybe it was mine) a little too deep when we were riding in the back of your father’s truck?).

I have lots of fond memories of Randy and your whole family. I haven’t seen Randy, or any of you, in over 25+ years. It’s too bad how friends lose touch. I’m so sorry for the loss of Randy and our prayers are with your family.

  16. Dear Phyllis and family,
I was so sad to hear of your brothers untimely passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you

  17. I knew Randy years ago when he worked on a project with me. He was always above board and pleasant to work with – he had a great personality, sort of mischievous in a way. I saw him a year or so ago and we reminisced about the project, and he still had that same positive attitude. I’m sorry for your loss, and pray for blessings for Randy and everyone in the family.

  18. Phyliss & Penny I want to say how sorry I was to hear about Randy passing.God will see you both threw this. God be with you both, and the family.

  19. Randy was my neighbor. When he bought the property behind me he came up and introduced himself. He told me that if I ever needed any type of help to just ask him, and he’d help in any way. I’ve had occasion to go back on Pocock looking for my daughter’s runaway pomeranian, or on my property to check on things, and I have been very impressed by the way Randy had improved his house and land. I will miss hearing his truck leave every morning. I am a good judge of people—he was one of the best, I believe. I am so sorry for all of his family and for those he leaves behind, including his pets. I can’t offer much in the way of help, but if there is anything I can do, please do not hesitate to come by or call (836-9100). Randy and all of you are in my prayers. God Bless.

  21. I knew Randy for just over one year, and in that time spent many hours on the job with him. Over that year we built a friendship that I will greatly miss. With Randy you always knew exactly where you stood and that honesty is what I admired most about him.My prayers are with those he left behind.

  22. I remember being neighbors back in the early 80’s on Live Oak St. You helped me several times with some work on my house. Always willing to help others. Corey was friends with my girls. We will never forget your kindness and giving of your time. You were a good friend of mine and I will always think of you in that way. May God take care of you now and may your family be consoled at this time of their loss. You are home now Randy. Love ya dude

  23. For the past thirty years he has been one of my best friends.I feel lost without him in my life anymore. I will miss him dearly . My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family. Love, Linda.

We will treasure the times on the houseboats at Lake Waco. It was always nice to see Randy, Pam and Maddie enjoying the lake and the good times. Our prayers are with the family. Pam, may God be with you during this difficult time.

  27. Time does not steal our memories but takes them from a place of just knowing them to lock them forever in our souls. You will not be forgotten Randy. I still remember the strapping young man you were and to a kid like I was when we met your family, you will forever stay larger than life in mine. Rest in peace!

  28. Dear Family: I was so shocked when Hilda called and told me of Randy’s untimely death. Of all my cousins, Randy had to be my favorite. I had not seen him in a long time and at his mom’s funeral, I had the opportunity to tell him that. I was so glad I did it then. I have kept your family in prayer since I heard and know that many people are praying for you. God will gently place his arms around you and give you comfort if you just ask Him. I know that losing a loved one is one of the hardest things to go thru sine I haven’t yet gotten over the loss of my mom a while ago. He is in a better place and waiting for his family to join him. We love you Randy. Rest in Peace big guy!!!
