Condolence Messages

  1. To the White Family:

On behalf of the Girl Scout Family, I send my deepest sympathy to you. Your mother was a very special lady and touched so many lives through her years of service to Girl Scouts. She was a "Woman of Distinction" in every sense of the word, and she will be missed. Her legacy will live on in the many girls who were fortunate enough to have her as a part of their lives. You are in all of our prayers.

    Minerva,
The last time I talked to you you lived in CA. We had that brief e-mail exchange and then we lost track. I am so sorry about your mother’s death. I have wonderful memories of her serving as our Girl Scout leader, a big smile, energetic, and kind. Do you live in Leander, TX? Please e-mail me and let me know how you are. You were one of my very best childhood friends. I will be praying for you and your family. Love, Debi

  4. Phyllis Ann,
I am sorry to hear about your mom. I know she is in a better place now. I have many fond memories of her in Girl Scouts. I often went camping with her. She was a sponsor of my GS trip to Mexico. We had many great times. I will always remember her. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love Linda McCartney

  5. Phyllis was my Sunday School teacher when I was 10 years old in FBC Texarkana in the early ’50’s. Her parents were friends of my grandparents, Linda and Jay Hardage. I remember many visits with my grandmother and mother to the Pryor’s stately white house on Texas Avenue. Phyllis’ nephew, Elie Watts, is one of our dearest and oldest friends. Phyllis was always happy, smiling and loving. She reached out to everyone and made such a difference in our world. God bless her!

Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Heaven is rejoicing it’s newest angel.

  7. Phyllis, made Girl Scouts even more fun than it was. When she would visit us at camp – she kept us laughing.

I would have been there if I had known sooner-so sorry for your loss as I feel as though I have also lost she was all of our "Granny White"
