Patsy Jean Griffin

Patsy Jean Griffin, also known as Pat, Mom, Granny Pat, and Aunt Pat, suddenly left this world April 27, 2023 at age 72. She was a supportive and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Memorial Service: 2PM Tuesday, May 2 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel to live, laugh, and love just as Pat would want!

Pat was born March 25, 1951 to Wallace and Jean Rash in Dallas, Texas. In 1977, Pat met her forever love, Rodger Griffin, for the second time as their eyes locked over an ironing board! Pat married Rodger December 24, 1977. Together they raised two sons, Jeffrey Reid and Michael Paul Davis, along with a houseful of bonus kids that found solace in the home of love and acceptance that they had created.

Pat never met a stranger. She had a coffee shop in the courthouse where she enjoyed visiting with everyone. She then spent 20 years working for Financial Control Services before retiring. During her time working, she helped clothe, feed, and shelter countless women and children through various fundraisers. Pat was incredibly generous, almost to a fault. Everyone who met her loved her.

Most of all, Pat deeply loved her family and her 14 year old poodle, Sassafras. She cherished moments together during holidays and celebrations. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and her favorite pastime was keeping track of them! She was compassionate, proud, always supportive, and loved to laugh. Pat knew how to love.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Rash and Jean Trent; nephew, Kevin Rash; and a great grandson that she is no doubt holding in her arms now, Sutton Davis.

Pat is survived by her husband, Rodger Griffin; two sons and their wives, Jeffrey and Nicky Davis, Michael Paul and Annie Davis; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, Taylor and Raygen Davis, Austen Davis, Spencer Davis, Marleigh Davis, KayteLynn Gilliland, Eli Gilliland, and Caysen Davis; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Brenda Rash; ten nieces and nephews, Courtney and Mark Tischendorf, Kristen and Massimo Di Campli, Tatum, Teya, Truett Tischendorf, Hudson Griffin, Grace and Matteo Di Campli; an honorary daughter, Pam Davis.

Place of Service: Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel , 5201 Steinbeck Bend; Waco, TX 76708
