Patsy Hogan was born Patsy Annette Parker December 29, 1945 in Waco, Texas.

Visitation: The family will be at Axtell Baptist Church 255 N. 4th St. in Axtell, Texas on Friday, September 2nd from 6pm to 8pm.

Memorial Service: A celebration of life for Patsy Hogan will be held at Axtell Baptist Church on Saturday, September 3rd at 12pm and will be followed by a potluck reception in the fellowship hall.

Patsy was the second child of Joe and Minnie Parker. They lived in the Prairie Hill and Axtell area during her childhood years and beyond. She went to Axtell ISD and graduated in 1964 and then went on to school to become a hairdresser. She worked as a hairdresser until the mid-1980’s when she retired to become a full-time homemaker.

In February of 1973, Patsy met the love of her life, Wayne Hogan, and they were married June 30, 1973. Eventually they had 3 children, Chris, Stacy and Nicole. Her hobbies were cooking and reading, but she especially enjoyed being the “Kool-Aid Mom.” If there was a child around who needed a meal, a place to stay or just a shoulder to cry on, she would be there and make them her own.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents; Joe and Minnie Parker; her brother, Joe Parker Jr.; her beloved husband, Wayne Hogan; son, Chris Hogan; sister-in-law, Frances Waters; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Hogan.

Patsy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Stacy and Charles Roof of Axtell; daughter Nicole Hogan of Axtell; nephew, Joe Parker III of Axtell; great nephew and his wife, Stephen Hogan and LeeAnn Bollier of Bellmead; her beloved grandson and hero, Elijah Roof of Axtell; daughter-in-law, Berniece Hogan of Waco; special “bonus daughter” Polly Dunn of Krum as well as many other special cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Martindale Family Medicine and Dr. Tim Martindale for taking such good care of Patsy the past few years. They would also like to thank Accension Providence Hospital for the care they gave Patsy this year as well as Accension Providence Hospice at St. Catherine’s for making her final hours as comfortable as possible.
