Patricia “Pat” Earley

Earley Obit Photo

Patricia “Pat” Earley, 76, of Waco, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimers.

Pat was the middle child of three, born August 23, 1945 in Athens, Texas to Benjamin and Sibyl Everett. After graduating from Athens High School in 1963, she worked as a telephone operator. It was during this time that she met her husband Marlin.

To all who knew her, the consensus was clear; Pat knew how to have fun and how to love big. Even as her disease stole her ability to do so many of the things she loved to do; including decorating, gardening, shopping, and entertaining, it was never able to steal her desire to show those around her that she loved them or her ability to make someone smile. She dedicated her life to the people she loved, most of all her family. Always quick to love others, and somehow quicker with a joke, she was the life of any get together. Her warm smile, big hugs, and indomitable spirit will be forever missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Bonnie King; and her brother, Larry Everett.

She is survived by her husband Marlin, of 57 years, who had these perfect words to say upon her passing: “My beautiful wife, Patricia Ann, has passed into God’s heavenly arms.  Our long 8 year journey, together with family, dealing with the ravages of Alzheimers is finished.  Her beautiful smile, her happy, fun and loving spirit that endeared her to so many, are now one with her again”. She is also survived by her daughter Marlina Washington, and husband Lee; grandchildren, Jordan Corley and husband Clint of Austin; Dylan and Laura Lee Washington of Waco, and Thalen Washington of Utah.

The family would like to thank the hospice team at Bluebonnet for their exceptional care of Pat in her final days and the staff at Heartis for their compassion for our entire family.
