Norman Wayne Ethridge, 69, of Marlin, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019.
A new day has begun and our world is forever changed. Someone we thought would always be here has slipped away. Heaven is also forever changed, for Wayne is reunited with our loved ones that have gone before us. A kindred spirit, a gentle soul, a simple man, that lived a simple life. Wayne cherished times spent with his family, the solitude of a peaceful, quiet countryside, calming water flowing in an endless river, and his love of western movies and years of a bygone era.
As a Vietnam Veteran, he served his country with bravery, courage, dedication, honor, and loyality.
Wayne is survived by his son, Bobby Ethridge; grandsons, Justin and Wiley Ethridge; granddaughter, Jenna Ethridge; great-granddaughter, Jayden; best friends and companions, Marie G., Brooklynn G., and Anthony; mother, Lucille Hamilton; sister, Patricia Ethridge; brothers, William (Bill) Ethridge, Lee (Frank) Ethridge, John Ethridge, Michael Ethridge, and David Ethridge; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
