Noel Wayne McEvers, 83, formerly of Seguin, Canton and Kingsland, Texas, was called home after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer at his daughter and son-in-law’s home in Lacy Lakeview, Texas February 14, 2023.

Celebration of Life: 1PM Saturday, April 29 at First Baptist Church Kaufman, 200 Fair Road, Kaufman, TX 75142. Reception and repast to follow at Blake and Kellye McEvers’ home in Kaufman, TX.

He and his forever Valentine, Woodette Denene McDougald McEvers are now together for eternity. Woodette preceded him in death May 17, 2022.

Noel was born to Virgil Frank McEvers and Elsie Mae Young McEvers June 28th, 1939 in Dalhart, Texas- Dallum County.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 62 years, older sister, Lafern Jeloice Key; older brother, Billy Frank McEvers; and grandson, Michael Drew Bishop.

He is survived by his daughter, Deanna McEvers Singletary and husband Chad; son, Corwin Blake McEvers and wife Kellye; son, Jay Wayne McEvers and wife Louise; granddaughter, Kymberly Sams and husband Virgil Uptmore; great-grandson, Bryan Uptmore; and great-granddaughter, Chloe Garza; sister-in-law, Carolyn McEvers; brother, Karl McEvers and wife Mary; sister, Sandra Bradford; brother, Darrell McEvers and wife Kay; and sister Latricia McEvers as well as beloved extended family and treasured friends. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. A piece of our mourning hearts go with him.

  3. Sorry to hear about Noel. It’s good that he gets to spend more time with Woodette. I hope he did not endure much pain.

    • Janet we saw him the day before he passed. So sad to see him so bad, he is out of pain now. Blake is planning a get together in April or May at his home.
