Nelda Campbell, 70, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 in Waco.

Service Information: Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the interment at Chalk Bluff Baptist Church.

Nelda was born December 14, 1951 to Donald E. and Lydia Rose (Machan) Campbell, Sr. in Waco, TX.

She retired from the VA as a GS 11.  She loved playing scrabble with her mom; always letting her win.  Her love for her parents, brother, children, and grandchildren surpassed her love for the outdoors and animals of all kinds.  If she could have, she would have rescued all of them.

Nelda is survived by her brother, Don; four children, James Roscher, Phillip Roscher and wife Sally, Matthew Roscher and wife Beth, and Leigh Roscher Edwards and husband Greg; 11 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

She will be greatly missed.

  3. Nelda was in the same room with me all through elementary school. I have not visited with her in many years, but from the photos she still looked the same. It is sad to say goodby to those we met at age 6. May God bless her family.
