Nathan Wayne Lee Bennett, 62, of Elm Mott passed away Wednesday March 9, 2022. Nathan was born in Waco April 6, 1959 to parents Cooper Bill Bennett and Ino Willie Rounsavall.

Nathan is known by many names; Cooney Pie, Pie, Pops, Daddy & Unc and he will be remembered and missed by many friends and family. Nathan was a wonderful Dad, Grandfather and friend. He loved to lend a helping hand and to provide his criticism to every situation. Those moments will be cherished forever by the many who loved and cared for Nathan.

At an early age, Nathan found a love for music. He danced through his life at his own tune and never missed a beat. Nathan was also known for his skill in the wood shop at Khoury’s Inc., he worked there for many years as a finisher with his brother Kenny Bennett, nephew Chuck Baker and others. In his spare time, he loved to hang out with family and friends listening to music, working on cars and shining his Harley, Lulu. Nathan danced his way to being the life of the party and his infectious laughter and dance moves will forever be etched in our hearts.

Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Shirley Bennett.

He leaves behind son, Kevin Bennett and wife Erica; daughter, Christi Bennett; son, Bo Bennett and wife Lacy and; son, Nathan Adcock; brothe,r Sonny Bennett and wife Helena, brother, Kenny Bennett and wife Dee Dee; sister, and best friend, Kathy Bennett; many nieces, nephews and greats who he loved dearly; grandchildren, Layne, Shyanne, Lacy, Keith Jr, Branson, Zachary, Jezebel, Landon, Brenna, Journie, Trinity, Dax, Cash, Evelyn, Ivy and his loving dog Baby Girl. In addition, he leaves behind numerous cousins and other loving family members and friends.
