Visitation: Tuesday, March 08, 2016 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco

Funeral Service: Wednesday, March 09, 2016 at 10:00AM at Lake Shore Funeral Home

Burial: Wednesday, March 09, 2016 at 2:00PM at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas.

Nancy Arriaga, 92, of Mart, passed away on Saturday, March 05, 2016, with her loving family at her side. Nancy was born on July 28, 1923, in Chilton, Texas to the late Epifanio and Teofila Cruz Martinez. Nancy was the portrait of a virtuous woman, serving God and letting God’s love be seen in her through her actions. She always served God first and throughout her life lovingly served many brothers and sisters in Christ. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker and mother, but in her younger years she worked as a seamstress for Niemen Marcus. Sewing stayed with her throughout life. She created many precious items for her family and friends that they will cherish for years to come. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, Epifanio and Teofila Martinez; her husband, Marcario S. Arriaga; and her five brothers and two sisters, Lazara Carrizales, Victorio Martinez, Jesus Martinez, Jose Martinez, Juan Martinez, Ambrosio Martinez, and Francisca Martinez.

Nancy will be remembered with love by her daughter, Ruby A. Herrera and her husband Johnny of Waco; grandchildren, Johnny Herrera, Jr., Jimmy Herrera, Anthony Herrera and his wife Maricela, Rita Dominguez and her husband Guzmán, Laura Baker and her husband Douglas and Benjamin Herrera; numerous great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in Christ. Nancy was a blessing to many lives and will be truly missed.
