Michael Hayden Sheard, 43, of Temple, died on Saturday, May 21, 2016.

Visitation: Michael’s family will gather for visitation and a time of memory sharing on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco.

Funeral Service: Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:30AM at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Burial: Waco Memorial Park where the United States Army Honor Guard will deliver military honors. Pallbearers will be Jerod Corley, Enri Alejo, Eric Alejo, Jason Butler, Charles Sanders, and Oscar Peña.

Michael, a native Texan, was born June 6, 1972 in Waco, to Phillip Sheard and Peggy Butler Stuckly. Graduating from LaVega High School in 1990, he went on to attend Texas State Technical College and graduated 1998 with a certificate in Diesel Mechanics. Michael served his country honorably in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY from 1998 to 2004. With his service came three deployments starting in 1999 to Korea, 2002 to Afghanistan and finally to Iraq in 2003 before being honorably discharged. Michael worked for Boeing in Phoenix AZ and DynCorp in Temple and he was a disabled veteran.

Michael will be remembered with deep love and admiration by his mother and step-father, Peggy Butler Stuckly and Elton E. Stuckly, Jr.; his father and step-mother, Phillip and Cheryl Sheard; fiancé, Jennifer Barbour; grandmother, Mary Butler; daughters, Terra Sheard-Haney and Madison Sheard; son, Anthony Giammarco Sheard; granddaughters, Annalei Hayden, Audrian Arnella, Amelia Lynn; grandson, Anthony; brothers, Phillip “Chip” Sheard and wife, René, Delton Stuckly and wife, Patti, Jeremy Sheard and wife, Robin, Chad Sheard and wife, Libby; sisters and step-sisters, Elaine Stuckly Richard and husband, Jeremy, Jennifer Pierce and husband, Josh, Michelle Valley and fiancé, Kevin; nieces and nephews, Alayna, Skylar, Emily, Hayden, Triston, Mason, Alex, and Jaycie; along with numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends.

Memorial donations can be made to The Chris Kyle Frog Foundation.
