Michael Cook, Jr., 32, of Waco, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be 7PM Monday, February 10th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Bailey officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Michael was born in Waco on May 21, 1981 to Beverly Ann (Jay) and Michael Cook, Sr. He loved fishing and being a big kid amongst his own children and his nieces and nephews. Michael was an assistant manager at Sonic Drive-In.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Ann (Jay) Cook; maternal grandmother, JoAnn Harcrow Jay; paternal grandparents, Francis Marrs and John "Jack" Cook, Jr.; uncle, John E. Cook III, and cousin, James Cook, Jr.

Survivors include his father, Michael Cook, Sr.; sister, Ashley Cook and husband, Fred Cramer; brother, Ty Jay; fiance, Deonna Ridgeway; children, Audrey, Heaven and Matthew; grandfather, H.B. Jay; aunts and uncles, Tammy and James Cook, Kathy and Gary Goff, Carla and John Hines; aunt, Donna Yglecias; and nieces and nephews, Anthony Cook and Angel Cramer and Ty Jay, Jr. and Tori Jay, all of Waco.

Honorary pallbearers are Ross Bishop, Brian George and Joey Yglecias.

The family would like to thank Ronnie and Vonda Ridgeway, Michael’s fishing buddy and wife; Ross and Dana Bishop, childhood friend and wife; Brian and Shelby George; and friends and family for their support during this difficult time.
