Michael Coke Cochran, age 81, went home to his Lord Sunday, September 12, 2021.

A Celebration of Life: 10AM Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Prairie Valley Baptist Church, 741 HCR 2101, Whitney, Texas.

Mike was born May 5, 1940 in Waco to Coke and Vera Cochran. He spent his school years in Bellmead and graduated from La Vega High School where he played football and was in the band. He served his country in Vietnam as a radio technician in the United State Marine Corp.

There was no commercial building he couldn’t build. Owning his own construction business initially, then he went on to became a commercial construction superintendent for 30 years.

Stepping back in time to the 1800’s. He loved “Rendezvous Encampments” all over The U.S. His campsite and dress were true to the period. He won many shooting awards with a muzzle loader he built himself. As an accomplished silversmith he created his own designs with stones that he cut and fabricated. Prospecting for gold and fossil hunting were favorite past times. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was married to Diane Cochran 30 years. They moved to Laguna Park in 2011 and attended Prairie Valley Baptist Church.

He is survived by wife, Diane Cochran; stepsons, Anthony Urban and wife Tammy, Greg Dunne and wife Janelle; stepdaughters, Nancy Carlson and family, Susan Dunne and family, and Linda Henderson and family; sister, Patricia Williams; nieces, Mellanie Huchison and husband Ed, Amanda Maxey, and Erin Kosko and husband Matt; and 6 great nieces and nephews.
