Maylan Layne White, 22, of China Spring passed away suddenly on Friday, March 6, 2015.
A Celebration of Life Service: 2PM Wednesday, March 11th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation and Viewing: 6 to 8PM Tuesday, March 10th at Lake Shore Funeral Home.
Maylan was preceded in death by her grandfather, Van Dulock; and great grandmother, Madge Hunt.
Survivors include her parents, Robin and Donny Slaughter; sisters, Camryn White and Macee Slaughter; brothers, Clinton Slaughter, Cameron Slaughter, and Braden White; grandparents, Linda Dulock and Jeff Thornton, Fayrene Slaughter, and Ronnie White; uncles and aunts, Jeffrey Dulock, Kevin Dulock, Tressa Louis, Jim and Terri Kephart, and Alvin and Syndi Slaughter; and numerous cousins, other relatives and lots of friends.

From one grieving family to another, our family has been sending many prayers throughout our days for your family. We lost our sweet daughter, Shellie Dawn to a tragic truck accident on 4.25.2012, and she too was 22 as your precious new angel. As so many before me have spoken, there are no words of comfort to share with you and your precious family. Besides, I only found myself listening to no one, other than others, who too had lost a child as we did. I felt they understood that “huge brick sitting on my heart, slowly suffocating every day.” I would love to share with you and your family or help you all in any way that we can. We truly have walked in your shoes, and the road is weary and long, as we are just about to cross or three year anniversary of the death of our daughter, we continue to cross new bridges of her death, and swim in new waters often. I highly recommend grief groups, grief counseling and surrounding yourselves with others that fully understand the loss of a child. God will send them your way and place them in your paths.
