Mary Louise Makovy passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022.
Immediate Burial: Friday, October 14 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park
Mary was born April 26, 1929 in Leroy, Texas to Walter and Esther Hoffmeyer. She was a loved mother and Nana and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Makovy; and her parents.
She is survived by sister, Shorty Lasseter; daughters, Karen Cross and Janis Anz; grandchildren, Kristy Whitlock, Amber Black and husband James Black, and Scott Cross; great grandchildren, Joseph Whitlock, Ashley Whitlock, Adaline Black, Everett Black, Emily Cross, and Shayla; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tootsie was always so friendly and hospitable – she loved people. Her beautiful smile will be greatly missed. We are sorry we could not be there, but we are praying for you all as you go through this difficult time of loss. Love you.
We are so sorry to lose Tootsie. She was a kind and sweet lady who was always nice to us. We hadn’t seen her in awhile, but we’ll always remember her smile and sweet disposition. Hope your memories of her give you comfort. We’re keeping you in our thoughts.
Karen I am so sorry for the loss of your mom & same to you Scott. I did not know her but I sure she was a great mother & a great granny too. May she rest in peace now free of all her worries & pain. Praying yall get past this situation asap.

Mama I was going to let things go but Baylor Hillcrest killed you! An ambulance driver came here and took 12 years of me taking care of you away from me in a manner of minutes! He judged me because you were so thin etc. They sent adult protective servises here and tryed to make it look like I killed you? Its 10 months later and I still cry every nite!
The funeral home charged me for a regular funeral with all your organs removed to see if I killed you! So sad! Refund my discover card! That didnt even look like my mother!
