Mary Lillard Padget, 95 of Waco, passed away peacefully at home and “went to the clouds”, on Thursday, June 16, 2016.

Visitation: Mary’s family will gather on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco.

Funeral Service: A service celebrating Mary’s life will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 11:00AM at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bosqueville Cemetery where pallbearers will be Michael Moss, James Mickels, Ray Feight, Gil Lillard, Ricky Crocker, Joey Rivera, Jay Selvek, and Donald Craig.

Mary was born April 28, 1921 in McLennan County to the late James Burton and Virgie Pyles Lillard. After graduating from Waco High School, Mary went on to attend and graduate from Business College. Mary married the love of her life, Tommy Bush Padgett on December 23, 1941. She worked for many years for the City of Waco in the District Clerks Office, retiring in 1971. Two years later, Mary came out of retirement to work for the State of Texas, working for four different judges in the State Court of Civil Appeals. retiring the second time in 1981. Mary was a very loving and caring person, she often said she felt like God put her here to care for others, and that is what she did all her life. She will be truly missed by her family and many others she cared for over the years. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, James and Virgie Lillard; her husband of over 61 years in 2002, Tommy Bush Padgett; her son, Tommy Burton Padgett; two sisters and four brothers.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Ginger Padgett Mynar; her brother, Fred Lillard; five grandchildren, Tuesday Craig and her husband Donald, Candise Fickey, Laura Padgett and her husband Clyde Logan, Kelly Walker and her husband Ryan, and Sara Laughlin and her husband Shand; 13 great-grandchildren, Michael Moss, Sydey and Taylor Honea, Johnny, Miranda and Shawn Lindsey Childers, Garrett Fickey, Reese and Jack Walker, Emma and Anna Laughlin, and Alex and Tommy Logan; great-great-grandchildren, including, Clytee Moss, Raleigh King and Kyler Childers; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
