Mary was born in Groesbeck, TX, on 26 July 1946, to Henry and Zelva “McDaniel” Kozlovsky. In her early childhood years, Mary lived in Ben Hur, TX. The family later moved to Mart, TX where she attended school and continued education.

Mary’s quick-witted humor could bring laughter to anyone. She enjoyed cooking amazing meals and serving the neighborhood children with those meals. Some of her past times included gardening fruits and vegetables, camping and fishing on her property fishing tank, and reading the Bible. She would tell heartwarming stories of each of her five children as if you were there. Mary dedicated countless hours volunteering, singing and providing Nursing Homes/ Hospitals Ministry across Waco and surrounding area. She also kept her mind sharpened with her occasional games of bingo, Yahtzee and dominoes.

Mary knew the Lord and extended that love of the Lord’s Word to her five children. She was known to hymn of heavenly chords during deep cleaning of the home. For several years; she would fellowship at the Christian Life Church under Pastor Robert and Cindy Nelson. And later, she continued loving God at New Day Family Fellowship under Pastor Mike and Mony Chance.

For more than 20 years, Mary worked as a CNA at the West Rest Haven Nursing Home, West, TX. She was given multiple accolades and awards during her tenure. Mary held positions at Mexia State School Cafeteria, Valet Cleaners and Plantation Foods.

Mary is now reunited with parents, Henry and Zelva Kozlovsky; sisters, Faye Griffin, Rose Cloer and Rita Darden; brother, Kenneth Kozlovsky; late husbands, Kenneth Tucker, USN (14 August 1976-18 November 2000) and Ronald Slyter, USAF, Retired (01 August 2008-10 April 2016).
