Maria Trinidad Mendoza (Trini)

Mendoza

Trini Mendoza, born on March 25, 1940, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, in her home, surrounded by family. Trini was one of ten children of Francisco Barrientez Sr. and Ricarda Garza Barrientez. Her journey through life was marked by love, resilience, and an unyielding spirit.

Trini was preceded in death by her spouse, Jovito Mendoza, and their son, Christopher Mendoza, as well as siblings, Mona Stansel, Susie Salinas, Inez Arnold, Jimmy, Tony, Frank Jr., Johnny, and Albert Barrientez. Despite these profound losses, Trini remained a pillar of strength and support for her surviving family members.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Helen Sanchez and Josie O’Malley; daughters, Stella Martinez (Dan) and Ofelia Tovar (Rickey); and son Steven Mendoza. Her grandchildren include Roman, Isaiah, Cecilia Fajardo (Adrian), Valerie, Sulie, Alyana, Angel Tovar (Jasmine), Alyssa Alvarado (David), Victoria; five great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.

As a grandparent, Trini had a profound impact on the lives of her grandchildren. Her guidance, wisdom, and unconditional love will forever be cherished and remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family of Trini Mendoza invites friends and loved ones to remember her life. These memories will highlight the loving spirit that Trini brought into the world. Her memory will live in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Trini’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and perseverance. As we remember Trini, we are reminded of the lasting impact she had on her family. Trini’s strength and love will continue to inspire and guide us for generations to come.

To allow family members from out of state to arrive, a celebration date will be scheduled later. In the memorial, we will celebrate Trini’s life and the unforgettable mark she left on many in the family.

Her story is one of resilience, love, and unwavering strength, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
