Maria I. Herrera, 46, of Bellmead, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018.

Funeral Services: 10AM Friday, August 17th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation: 6 to8PM Thursday, August 16th at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Maria was born September 9, 1971 in Salineno. She received her Associate Degree from TSTC. She moved to Frisco and worked in Human Resources for Mario Sinacola and Sons Construction.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas “Chapo” Cruz.

She is survived by her daughters, Regina Herrera and Veronica Herrera; son, Jordan Ortiz; parents, Catarino and Maria Cruz; sisters, Claudia Cruz, Edna Cruz, Daisy Cruz and Cathy Cruz; brother, Marcos Cruz; and nine grandchildren.

I remember, being in the passenger seat, in her “lime green” Camaro heading to where ever we wanted to go. She was a blast and lived life to the fullest.
