Condolences for the family of “Margaret Simon”

Condolence from Bill Braswell on February 28th, 2014 9:13 am

As I was pondering what I could possibly say to express the loss I feel with the passing of our dear friend Margaret, I realized that words cannot capture what I feel. We(may wife, son, and I)literally broke bread with her, played games with her, prayed with her, confided in her, and more than anything else just loved being around her. She was every bit as much our family as our own flesh and blood. How does one express that kind of loss? In the interest of brevity, all I can say is she will be(and already is)missed so much it hurts to think about it. Thank God she will live on in our hearts and through her family.

To the family specifically, may the Lord comfort you in your overwhelming loss, and remember that she is in a place that is free of sickness and pain now. It is time for God to enjoy her as we have on earth.

Condolence from Debbie Henson on February 28th, 2014 9:13 am

I worked with Margaret for several years at WCY prior to her retirement. Margaret was one of the dearest and most sincere persons I have ever had the opportunity to know. She was a beautiful person inside & out and spoke so often of all her children & grandchildren to whom she was so devoted. It saddened me deeply at her passing. My thoughts & prayers are with her loved ones.

Condolence from Homer and Jan Miller on February 28th, 2014 9:13 am

We will always cherish the good times we shared. (Playing cards, traveling, fishing and riding in the boat). Now you can celebrate with the Lord and experience no more pain. We look forward to seeing you when God calls us home.

Condolence from Janice Braswell on February 28th, 2014 9:13 am

There are no words that can adequately express how deeply I loved Margaret… She was one of my dearest friends (as is her daughter, Carol) and like a mother to me, as well. She loved so many unselfishlessly and unconditionally and always put others before herself. She will be missed so much, but my memories of her will never fade.

May the Lord give peace and strength to her family and may each of you be comforted by your many wonderful memories of an amazing lady.

I didn’t know Margaret, but I do know her daughter, Carol. Any woman who can raise someone of Carol’s quality must be of the highest caliber herself.

What a beautiful picture of Margaret! I feel like I know you all so well, from her stories as well as thru my sister, Kim Phillips. She was a very, VERY special lady; an uplifting and encouraging Christian; a wonderful friend to my sister. I so enjoyed sharing in their friendship. My prayers are with you now, as they have been these past months. Wish I could be there for the service to give hugs in person.

Condolence from Lory Von Staden on February 28th, 2014 9:14 am

Working with Carol, I was blessed to hear so many stories and countless ways Margaret blessed so many lives on a daily basis! I was so lucky as to meet Margaret in person before her health began to fail, and experience first hand her energizing personality and brilliant smile. How contagious her love for life and people overflowed to others around her…even strangers. And later, even in the hospital…there was Margaret’s smile as she saw someone come through the door. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. May you forever hold your treasured memories…and smile yourself in her honor.

Condolence from Marian Naik on February 28th, 2014 9:14 am

I was so saddened to read of Margaret’s passing. I have thought of her often since I worked with her at WCY back in the 80’s. She was such a wonderful woman-I was so young and in awe of her. I know you will miss her – she must have been an awesome person to have in your lives on a daily basis. You have my sympathy. Just a beautfiul person, in and out.

Condolence from Mark and Virginia Braun on February 28th, 2014 9:14 am

Margo was well known as a very kind and loving person to many. I was fortunate enough to be her and Richard’s Neighbor in Speegleville for many years. I was always invited in to their home to visit with them and to break bread together.

Our belssings and Prayers go out to the Simon Family at this difficult time.

I know that she is an Angel in Heaven now, just as she was a true Angel here on this earth.

We will miss you dearly Margo.

Condolence from Ray & Dennis on February 28th, 2014 9:14 am

We’ve had the pleasure of knowing our dear friend Margaret for over 15 years. In that time we’ve shared numerous vacations, many an evening over a home cooked meal, which always finished with one of her incredible, home baked desserts as well as many a day shopping, a favorite pastime.

Margaret’s ability to give of herself so selflessly was such an inspiration. She generously loved her family and cared for each and everyone for all her life; and still found time to give of herself to those in need. When Margaret lived in Haltom City she often helped us cook meals for the Samaritan House; a residence for those who are homeless and HIV positive. It was so nice to drive over to her house and pick up a home cooked meal that included, roasts, hams etc., with all the trimmings and of course dessert for 30-40 people. At Christmas one year, Margaret created bags filled with personal items for each of the residents. These are just a few of her numerous, generous and loving acts of kindness.

As the tears dry, may they give way to the countless memories, smiles and laughter that will warm us and keep Margaret in our hearts forever.

We will so miss her.

Condolence from Tommy Stapleton on February 28th, 2014 9:14 am

I will miss Margart. Though, I have not seen her in some time I have fond memories of living next door to she and Richard on Willow Grove Road. I was living with a friend, Mark, who became a loving friend to Margaret and Richard. I had no family in the area and Margaret often invited me into her home and especially on holidays. God be with her and the family.
