Mable M. Sims, 86 of China Spring, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 with her family at her side.

Visitation: Monday, December 21, 2015 from 9:00AM to 10:00AM

Chapel Service: Monday, December 21, 2015 at 10:00AM at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Interment: Monday, December 21, 2015 at 1:30PM Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas

A native of Waco, Mable was born June 16, 1929, to the late Walter M. and Clara Elizabeth McDaniels Bewley. She worked for many years at the Bellmead Nursing Home as a cook. Mable was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, she recorded their scores dating back to the 1960’s. Professional Wrestling was also a passion for Mable, she was known to attend many of the matches and cheer on her favorite wrestlers, The Von Erichs. Mable is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Clara Bewley; two infant brothers; brothers, Walter Bewley, JM Bewley, Charles “Pete” Bewley; sister, Rosa Jones; her husband, Edward Vernell York; daughters, Anita Lunell York and Barbara Ann Lankford; son, Jim York; and two grandsons, Jimmy York and Vernon Lankford.

Mable will be remembered with love by her daughter, Donna Kay York; her son, Steve York; her nine grandchildren, Nicole Crawson and her husband Brett, Courtney King and husband Chad, Devin Rice, Vicki Ann Teakell and her husband Charlie, Bobbi Jean Parnell and her husband Keith, Donald Ray Lankford and his wife Linda, Robert York and his wife Wendy, Shannon Munoz and her husband Alex, and Kelly Claridy; great grandchildren, Kaylee Montaner, Kevin Montaner, Kaiden King, Adrianna Worrell, Will Worrell, Kyle Worrell, Brian Worrell, Matthew Ortega, Barbara Erin Keisling, Virginia Duarte, Jason Parnell, Ray Parnell, Renee Villa, Levi Lankford, Wendy Lankford, Sarah Munoz, Ryan Munoz, Taylor Rutkoski, Nathan York and Austin Rhinehart; her sisters, Cora Moseley and Lorraine ‘Sis’ White; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Mable’s family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Interim Hospice and to Doctor Siegfried Kreis.
