Lucille Mary was born on October 1, 1946 to the proud parents of John and Lucille Daniel. Mary was the second child born to the family joining her big sister Johnnie. She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev J. W. Williams. Lucille graduated from G. W. Carver in 1965. The 1965 class was an exceptional class in which she was involved in many of the school’s activities. She was a great friend, always having a big smile on her face and something funny to say!  Mary loved to have fun, and interact with all. If you didn’t know her, you would think she was quiet, but she was a talker. The classmates loved “Lucille”.  After completing high school, Mary, went on to further her education at TSTC. She worked at several places around Waco.  Mary met and married the love of her life Joe Eastland and to this union a son was born.

She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, shopping and giving. She was such a generous person, giving freely to family and friends. Some things never change, even as her health began to decline, she still enjoyed having fun and being with family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lucille Daniel; and husband, Joe Eastland of 46 years.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a son, Joe Oliver Eastland Jr. of Waco, Texas; a daughter, Yolanda (Funsho) Fagbohun;  grandchildren,  Jasmine Stredick and Ashton Stredick all of Richmond, Texas; a devoted sister,  Johnnie  (Maryland) Bolds; brother, John (Barbara) all of Waco, Texas; uncle, Rev. James (Patricia) Daniel of Hewitt, Texas; aunts, Isabelle King of Waco, Texas, Mattie Wormley of Killeen, Texas, and Eula Evans of Los Angles, California, sisters-in-law; Carrie Williams, Vada Hargrove and Louise Eastland all of Waco,Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Special thanks to Robin Johnson and Nanita Richardson (Care givers).
