Louise Anderson, of Elm Mott, at the youthful age of 103, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at a local nursing facility.

Funeral Service:  2PM Monday, February 17 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel

Born on June 9, 1921, in Crawford, Louise was the cherished daughter of William and Evelena (Gunnin) Abel. She was  baptized at an early age, and lived with Christian beliefs. Throughout her life, she embraced countless experiences and created enduring memories. She cherished visits to her childhood home in Crawford alongside her siblings. Her passions extended beyond family time; she loved gardening, canning food, deer hunting, and playing bingo. In her earlier years, she and A.J. enjoyed riding their Harley.

Louise dedicated 33 years of her career to Leggott’s Auction Barn, where she worked in the office while her husband served as a cattle buyer. Additionally, she contributed to her husband’s cattle trucking business in the early years. She was a proud mother to three children: Jerry Lynch, followed by twins Glenda and Linda Shilling, who married brothers.

Later in life, Louise married J.E. Anderson, with whom she shared fond memories of attending Crawford schools together. J.E. passed away in 1985.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, A.J. Lynch; son, Jerry Lynch; second husband, J. Edward Anderson; brothers, Billy Abel and Jack Abel; sons-in-law, Ed Shilling and Benny Shilling; and nephew, Michael Abel.

She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Lynch Shilling and Linda Lynch Shilling; granddaughters, Dana Shilling (Christina), Stacy Shilling-Schier (Russell), Jerre Lynch-Danley (Todd) and DeAnn Shilling-Hollingsworth (James); grandsons, Keith Shilling (Missy), Shane Shilling (LaJuana) and Jason Lynch (Maude); 16 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bud Abel (DeAnn); sister, Sarah Barton (Charles); and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to Regent Care of Woodway and Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care, and to DeAnn Hollingsworth for her unwavering love and support during Louise’s final years.
