Lorenzo Woodard of Waco, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 21 st , 2021,
at Providence Village of Waco.

Service Information: A private graveside service to celebrate his life will be held
Friday, January 21 st , at 1 pm at Oakwood Cemetery, 2124 S 5th St, in Waco, with
Pastor Derrick Watley officiating.

Lorenzo was born on February 23, 1947 in Freestone Country, TX, to Walter and
Beulah Mae Woodard. He attended Butler ISD schools, graduating from Butler High in
1965. Some years later on October 15th, 1971, Lorenzo married his soulmate and true
love, Linda Hainsworth in Waco, TX. Of this union, two children were born, Stacy and
Reginald whom he cherished. Lorenzo was a dedicated employee of Owens Illinois
(The Glass Plant), in several departments where he served in many roles for 27 years
until he became ill in 1998.

Lorenzo was loved by so many. His love for BBQing for his family and friends, passion
for deer hunting, and overall enjoyment of country life is what everyone remembers and
cherishes of him. Hosting holidays at home with his wife, and partaking in random
gatherings with family and friends in Cameron Park, is what he loved to do. He was the
epitome of being a protector and provider, and would do anything for anyone, anytime
they needed it.

Lorenzo was preceded in death by both his parents and late wife, Linda J Woodard.

Lorenzo is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Ray Walker of Waco;
son, Reginald Woodard of Waco; grandsons, Jalen and Khalil Walker of Waco, TX;
granddaughters, Jada Walker; and great-grandson, Ja’Princeton Walker also of Waco.
He is also survived by his sister, Annie (Henry) Jones of Pearland, TX and nephew,
Anthony Woodard of Waco, TX; Marva (Jacob) Greene of Goodyear, AZ and brothers,
Henry “Donnie” (Marge) Hainsworth Jr. of Keller, TX; Lawrence Hainsworth of Waco,
TX; and Garry (Angela) Hainsworth of Little Elm, TX, along with countless other close
family and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jacob and Gary Greene of Goodyear, AZ, Kevin Betters of Grand
Prairie, TX, Damian and DelRick Kelley of Irving, TX, Oliver Jones of Addison, TX, Joel
Martinez, Devon Catron and Lance Gadlin, all of Waco,
