Lonnie Drennan Vaughan II, 67, of Waco, was a beloved father and friend to many, passed away from this life on Monday, February 24, 2025, following a brief hospital stay.

Lonnie was born December 4, 1957, in Roswell, New Mexico to the late Robert Vaughan and Carol Ewing Vaughan. Lonnie graduated from Waco High School in 1977; he received his Associate’s Degree in Animal Veterinary Technology from TSTI. Lonnie married Janet Vaughan in August of 1987 and Kasie (Vaughan) Kahanek in April 2002. Lonnie was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers fan. When Lonnie was not giving his time to his four sons his passions were playing golf and being a member of The Greater Waco USBC Bowling Leagues. Lonnie devoted all his time and energy to his beloved family. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories and sharing his wisdom and love. Lonnie’s legacy of love, hard work, and dedication to his family will be forever cherished by all who were blessed to know him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will always remember his kind spirit and generous heart.

Lonnie leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved children, Bryan Vaughan, Matthew Vaughan, Justin Vance and Jordan Galvez. Also, to cherish his memory are Janet Vaughan and Kasie Kahanek. Two nephews, Rocky Vaughan and Robert Vaughan and one niece, Wanetta Vaughan. He also leaves behind his beloved four-legged children, Lillie Belle, Beso, Murphee Brown, Cody, Skipper and Sailor
