Linda Carol Castillo, 65, a life-time resident of Waco, passed away Thursday, October 30th in a Temple hospital. Graveside services will be 10AM Monday, November 3rd at Oakwood Cemetery with Jim James Ransom officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7PM Sunday at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Mrs. Castillo will be available for public viewing starting at 2PM Sunday. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online Guest Book at www.LakeShoreFuneralHome.com.
Linda was a loving wife and mother. Despite suffering a stroke in 1995, she never gave up living. She enjoyed life to its fullest and was an inspiration to everyone who met her, always having a smile on her face.
She was preceded in death by her father, H.O. Gunter; and brother, Larry J. Gunter.
Survivors include husband, Paul Davila Castillo, Sr.; son, Paul Castillo, Jr., son, Mike Castillo and wife, Lezlie and their children, Tonya, Tosha, and great granddaughter Tiana, all of Waco; son, Brian Castillo and wife, Jill and their children, Corey and Andrew, all of Hewitt; son, Carl Castillo and wife, Leslie of Waco; mother, Ruth Gunter of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, George Gunter and wife, Johanna of Port Lavaca; sister, Gail Ransom and husband, James of Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law Adolph Castillo, and several nieces and nephews.

So sorry for your loss Mr. Castillo and sons. I loved Mrs. Castillo and she always had a smile on her face. I remember Mr. Castillo walking with her after her stroke much like Daddy did when Mom had her stroke. She is in heaven with Daddy watching us all.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Linda was a huge part of my childhood and I probably wouldn’t be the person I am today without her. I’ll always remember her smiling and getting on to me all while drinking her Dr. Pepper. My prayers are with all the family.

I’m so sorry to hear about Linda. My Dad,Johnny, forgets to tell us these family things. I remember Linda as a vivacious, redhaired teenager, dancing to rock & roll music. We rarely saw each other, but I never forgot this memory. My sympathy to her family. May peace be with you.

Paul, Paul Jr., Mike, Brian and Carl I’m sorry for your loss and I’m sorry I was not there for the Funeral. I was out of town and Mom told me about it over the phone. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. We had so much fun together when we were kids mainly running from your German Shepard. Take care and God Bless.
