Linda Ann Murphy went to be with our Lord on March 20, 2025. Her dedication and strength left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Visitation: 6-8PM Thursday, April 3 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Funeral: 4PM Friday, April 4 at Bosqueville Baptist Church, burial at Bosqueville Cemetery.

Born on March 4, 1948, to JB and Mamie Melinda Elizabeth Crocker, Linda embarked on a journey that would touch the hearts and lives of countless individuals.

Linda’s life was one of remarkable determination and resilience. She obtained her GED and then put herself through nursing school, a testament to her unwavering commitment to caring for others. Her nursing career spanned years of devoted service at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, culminating in her work at the Veterans Affairs. In every role she undertook, Linda’s dedication to her patients and her profession shone brightly, leaving a legacy of compassion and excellence.

Family was at the heart of Linda’s life. She was the proud mother of three children: Kevin Murphy, Keith Murphy and Karen Jackson. Her love and support for her children was unwavering, and she took great pride in their achievements and happiness. Linda’s family extended to her four grandchildren; JJ Jackson, Kaitlynn Jackson, Jeremy Jackson and Heather Goins; her 6 great grandchildren; Paizlee Jackson, Lilyana Cruz, Lizzy Jo Westerfield, JW (BUBBER’s) Westerfield III, Annie Goins and Mary Jane Traywick; adopted daughters, Belinda Benton, Kimberly Brown and Jeanna Odom; and adopted granddaughters, Kimber and Maddison Lassetter, Abigail Stovall.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, JB Crocker; mother, Mamie Melinda Elizabeth Crocker; brother, Rayford (RD) Crocker; grandson “JJ” Johnny Wayne Jackson Jr.; and adopted granddaughter, Maddison Lassetter. Though she faced these profound losses with courage, she remained a pillar of strength for her family.

She is survived by her two sons, Kevin Murphy and Keith Murphy; and her daughter, Karen Jackson and husband Johnny Jackson.

Linda’s legacy lives on through them, a testament to the love, values and strength she instilled in her family. Linda Murphy’s memory will forever remain in our hearts, a source of inspiration and love.

Family Physician, Dr. Todd Blattman and nurse, Ann; Diabetic Educator, Lisa Hoelscher; Hospice Nurse, Michelle Dunnam and her favorite nurse of all time and angel, Perrin Spears. Each one of you held a special place in her heart and will forever hold a special place in our hearts as well.

As she would say, “I Miss You Already”!!
