Lester Gerard Broadus passed away March 8, 2021.
Visitation will be 10am to 11am Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend Dr,Waco TX 76708.
The service will follow at 11am. A private burial will be held.
Lester was born In Waco, TX on January 24,1961 to the union of Jennie Ruth and Lester George Broadus, Jr. He attended school in La Vega ISD graduating from La Vega High School. After attending Prairie View A & M University he moved to San Bernardino County in California where he lived and worked for over 30 years. He returned to Texas to the Dallas/ Fort Worth area where he lived and worked until his illness no longer permitted.
Lester is survived by sister Marcia Broadus-Jackson, brother Gary Broadus, cousins Calvin and Tabitha Broadus, 5 nieces and nephews, and 14 grand nieces and nephews.

Condolences for the family of “Lester Gerard Broadus”
I wish to extend most heartfelt condolences to Lester’s family. Lester was in our class of 1979. He was very good natured, kind and respectful to everyone. His sense of humor and his laid back manner made him one of the most respected dudes in our group. Rest In Peace classmate. Class of 79 Salute.
I was heartbroken to hear of Lester’s passing. We lost contact after college over 30 years ago. The Broadus Family were our neighbors and friends. Lester was a great playmate as kids, also in college as we commuted back and forth to Prairie View A&M. Rest In Peace Friend.
