Tom, I am so saddened as to hearing of David’s passing. I have so many memories of our families back in the days of North Waco Baptist Church, the sleep-overs, and having your Mom, Gwen, as a second “Mother”. Although younger than you and I, I do remember David as a very kind young man who grew up in to a wonderful adult, husband, father, and true to his Christianity. A few months ago, my brother Greg and I got to see him and the thing that struck me the most was how much he reminded me of your Dad. Many years have past since last we spoke, and I have lost contact with you, so if you read this, please call me at 1-254-776-3329, or cell 1-254-644-6445. To Sally and Tim, and all , know that my thoughts and prayers are with you, and especially Sandra.

Jeff and Susan and boys – we were very sad to hear about the loss of your loved one. We pray that God will grant you peace and comfort, knowing that David is home. You will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

  26. Sandra, you are missing a fine husband and I a good friend. And we know where he’s going and we’ll be with him. David and I joined the Gideons about the same time in the Northwest Camp. I remember this shy young man who always seemed to have a smile on his face and wondered if he would ever be able to deliver a Gideon report at a church (I certainly was terrified at the thought). I moved not long after, and some years later was amazed at hearing this same man make a fine speech before a large gathering of Gideons. And being nearby in Temple I heard him again and again at different events. What a testimony of love and courage for the Lord. I’m not a bit surprised about Isaiah 55:11, my favorite too.

  27. Helen and Carl

Words cannot express how we feel to loose such a great friend. We have had some wonderful times together over the years. We love you all, you are part of our family and we will be here any time you need us. Our love and condolences to each and every one of you

  28. Paul Williams

David lived the perfect example of a great man of God. He was always ‘Behind the scenes’ doing the work of the Gideon ministry. There are no telling how many souls, who will be in heaven, due to a Godly man being used by our heavenly father in a mighty way. David cannot be replaced in The Gideons International. Phil 1:6
