I was saddened by the news of my friend Larry’s passing. I saw him on November 23 when we ran into each other at a local restaurant. We agreed to get together after the first of the year. God had other plans. Larry was a very giving person, a great friend , and a very talented individual . He was dedicated to his profession throughout his career, working even when he broke his wrist, after surgeries, and even until his passing. My condolences to the family. I pray for peace and comfort for each of you.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of my dear childhood friend. We used to have such fun times. He was a wonderful person and will be missed by many! Rest in Peace Bubba!

Larry was my mother’s hairdresser for many years. Having him do her hair was sometimes the highlight of her week! As she aged, he continued to treat her with such kindness and respect, often having to help her come in and leave. She loved visiting with him and he always made her smile. I was always so grateful for him. He is gone too soon and I know he will be missed by many. God bless.

Larry was so gifted…we’d discuss history , art, books,travels, genealogy etc over the 40 yrs he “styled” my hair. He became a friend, quasi-therapist and “Man of All Seasons.” My heart hurts ,but he’s at peace and I thank the Lord for allowing our lives to cross. You fought the fight and taught us not to give but preserve. Miss you dear friend

Met Larry when he was at beautiful reflections. Had the pleasure to work with him at stylus and company and now at the salon @ ridgewood.He was always there for you no matter the circumstance. He was truly a sweet kind hearted man. We will miss him tremendously.praying for all of your family .

So sad to here Larry had health issues preceding his passing. I knew him when he was a member at St Jerome’s, he was always smiling and friendly.

I never met Larry, but I worked with his Mother, my dear friend Leatrice for many, many years and she and I were best friends so I felt like I knew him . Larry’s sister ,Patti and I have been close for a long time as well, so I’ve always heard them both speak so graciously of Larry. My deepest sympathy for his familyat this very difficult time. I’m so grateful we got to have dinner with you a couple of days before. It was always so fun catching up with you and hearing all of your fun stories. You always had something funny to talk about. And I loved our conversations about food!!! Sharing recipes with you meant a lot to me.

You put up a GREAT fight, fought to the end, & lived every second that you were given. My heart is heavy but, I know you are in a much better place! Until we meet again you BOBB, GODSPEED! What can I say about my dear friend of 47 years…Larry was a very special friend who was always there for me no matter what was going on in our lives. It didn’t matter how often we saw each other as the second we were together it was as if we had seen each other the day before. He was one of the most kindhearted, generous, loyal and most of all, enjoyable and entertaining person to be around. We always had such a good time no matter what we may have been doing. My heart goes out to his family and his many friends as I know they all cherished and loved him as much as I did. Larry, you will be dearly missed but never forgotten!

I was sorry to hear about Larry passing. I have known Larry since college. I me Larry through my uncle Gerald. He was a good friend. He was talented, and funny, great cook. He will not be forgotten. I pray God’s peace and comfort during this difficult time.

We had the great pleasure of meeting Larry, appreciating his genuineness and humor, and admiring his courage quite recently, thanks to our mutual friends, Charlie and Robert, in San Antonio. Although our friendship with Larry did not have the history of many of his friends, it didn’t take us long to observe what a fine person he was. And so, we extend our sympathy — not only to Larry’s family–but also to the many long-time friends and “recent” friends who will miss and cherish memories of Larry for a long time to come. I was so sorry to hear that Larry had passed. I had been trying to reconnect with him for a year or so and had been unable to do so. He was a great friend in high school in Riesel and I had wanted to see how he was doing. I knew he must be a wonderful hair stylist because he was so good when I knew him. It sounds like he went on being the wonderful and kind person I knew in school.
