Lance Renfro, 77, of Lorena passed away peacefully at home on June 17, 2022, after a long battle with lung cancer.

A private family memorial will be held to celebrate his life.

Lance was born on November 3, 1944 in Bexar County, Texas.  He was a patriotic American and Army Veteran who loved his country.  His father, Troy Lavernon Renfro, was a World War II veteran, his sister, Janice, served in the Marines and his brother, Billy, served in the Navy during Vietnam.

Lance traveled the world working overseas for much of his life.  He loved life and enjoyed his work and travels.  If he wasn’t working, he was fishing, hunting or watching football or baseball. His biggest pleasure after retirement was sitting on the patio and enjoying his dogs, especially Randy and Jake, watching them in the back yard.

Lance was preceded in death by parents, Troy and Willie Mae Renfro; sister, Linda Spinner; brother, Ray Renfro; and two sons, Troy Lance Renfro and Matthew Renfro.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Renfro of Lorena; son, Vince Brown of Rutledge, Tenn; daughters, Celeste Cossin of Bryan, Texas, Robin Garrett of DeRidder, LA, and Andrea Duncan of San Antonio, Texas; numerous grandchildren;  sister, Janice Smith of Golinda, Texas;  and brother, Billy Renfro of Golinda, Texas.

A special thank you to Providence Hospital and Community Healthcare of Texas Hospice for providing the care and love during his final time.
