Kim (Douthit) Girard, 55, of China Spring, passed away suddenly Monday, January 17, 2011 at a local hospital. Services will be 10AM Friday, January 21, 2011 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Timothy V. Vaverek officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 6PM Thursday, January 20th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco, visitation will follow the rosary until 8PM. Kim was born October 28, 1955 in Waco and attended LaVega schools. She married Thomas R. Girard on December 23, 1972 in Waco. She was in the sales industry all of her working life, including 18 years with Great Western Directories. Kim was devoted to her family. She adored her grandchildren, and loved to cook and crochet

So very sorry to hear of Kim’s passing. I knew her from high school. She was a couple of years older than me. We had a class together and we became friends. She was always such a cheerful, sweet person. May God’s love comfort you all at this time of sorrow.

Kim will be missed greatly. I have known Kim for many Years. We didn’t always stay in touch, but when we did see each other it was like "Old Times." She was a Great Friend and a Beautiful Person.
