A lifelong friend of Kenneth (son) Bolen—-
Some of the memories we shared
My memories of/with Ken……
Playing little league baseball together
Bailing hay for Jake Minze
Hauling hay for a dime a bale
Fishing and killing snakes in the ponds around Delia. Swimming in the buff in the same ponds.
Riding double on a worn out bicycle to the Navasota to hunt squirrels. Occasionally having bike wrecks.
Cruising around in Kens black and white 55 Ford, trying to impress the girls. Fastest car in town.
Long phone conversations when were both to old to do much of anything else
Hanging around Joe Rogers blacksmith shop in Delia as tween age boys
Being on the same six man football team together for all 4 years of high school
Serving as the play by play announcers for soft ball games at the Delia field. We were pretty darn good.
Setting coasting records going down Tehuacana hill , late in the night.
Spending the night in the littlehouse beside Kens parents house.
Hours and hours of corncob baseball playing my brother Jerry and neighborBobby Joe Burleson.

A few of the memories from a lifetime of hanging out.
I’m not traveling very well these days with a gimpy back, so will not be there in body, just spirit.

So long old friend.
