Kenneth V. LaBarre, Jr.

Posted By Lake Shore Funeral Home On May 24, 2019 @ 8:57 am In Obituaries | 10 Comments

Kenneth V. LaBarre, 57, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019.

Service Information: Memorial Service will be held 2:00p.m., Saturday, June 1, at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Kenneth LaBarre was a gentle giant of a man who, when standing, would tower over most. Despite his intimidating stature, he would get down to eye level with anyone in a heartbeat, even if that meant laying on the floor with the dogs. Like his wife, Kenneth loved to spend time with God through taking care of the saints in both Irving and Waco. He had many fond memories of baptizing saints in europe, shepherding the young brothers through conferences, and even meeting with the brothers early in the morning for pancakes and prayer. His heart was only matched by his warm smile and outstandingly humorous “Dad Jokes”. Kenneth Loved God and his family more than anything, but his adventures across the world come as a close second. He had planned on going on another adventure to Victoria, Canada but God decided it was time for his last and final adventure to come to an end. Kenneth’s family plans to take him to Victoria Canada on May 23,2020 next year in his stead, for his final adventure and are thankful that they will get to see his gentle smile again in the New Jerusalem.

Kenneth was one of the sweetest, kindest, most obliging individuals we have ever known. He was a wonderful neighbor and we are just heartbroken that he is gone. I’m so sorry we hadn’t spent more time with he and his family, but sometimes gets in the way. We will remember him always. Mary Gresham and LeeAnn Gresham Priebe.

Condolence from Jana Paraiso on July 3rd, 2019 10:47 pm

To Kenneth’s family, my heartfelt condolences. I met him at work and I noticed the kindness in his eyes when we chatted for a bit. We always greeted each other and we talk for a bit before saying our goodbyes when our shift is about to end. He does his job really well and you know from how he works that he is passionate about it. Kenneth, I am so saddened. I just heard about your passing tonight because I just haven’t seen you and I was worried and my gut feeling was right although a bit too late. You are truly missed by many. We hold you deeply in our hearts. I pray for healing for Lenneth’s family. I am one with you in this journey. In my heart, I know Kenneth had been a faithful servant of the Lord and my heart is at peace that he is home. Hugs and God be with you all in this painful moment.

Condolence from Ray Wiseman on August 11th, 2019 1:37 pm

To the LaBarre family,

As one of the fellow members in the Body, we grieved much for the loss of our brother Ken. Eternity will be needed for us to share our remembrances of the Christ we experienced with our brother’s shepherding care, love and service. Today there was such a sweet time of hugging remembrance (here in Cincinnati) as we heard about brother Ken’s heart for all men to be saved which was spontaneously shared to us by a young brother who was led to the Lord by him. Thank You Lord because You are so real and Your Body is glorious!
In Him,
Ray Wiseman
