Kenneth Volker was born March 5, 1965, to Charles and Carlotta Volker in Whitney. Kenneth grew up in Hillsboro, and later moved to Waco at the age of 14. Kenneth gained the nickname Bubba as a young child. A nickname given to him by his grandpa. Later he would be known as Uncle Bubba to his many nieces and nephews. At the age of 9 Kenneth accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior followed by Water Baptism at Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro. As a young child and teen Kenneth was full of mischief. Often playing tricks or aggravating his three sisters. Kenneth held many hats in his family being the only son he took his responsibility of taking care of his mother seriously and did so until he left this earth. To his older sister, Tona he was her partner in crime during their youth. To his younger sister, Teresa, he was her best friend her confidant. To his baby sister, he was the father figure she never had.Kenneth held a variety of jobs throughout his lifetime, but because of his love of travel he became a truck driver. Kenneth retired in 2020 from Phillip 66, after 20 years of service.

On June 21, 1996, Kenneth married the love of his life, Vergie Chappell. Through his love and commitment to his beloved Vergie he inherited five wonderful stepchildren, eight grandchildren and one great grandson which he loved with all his heart. Together they traveled and weathered the storms of life. Kenneth adored his nieces and nephews. It was nothing unusual to see him at a family gathering with two or more kids wrestling with him trying to take him down. Ken would only laugh as he shook them off as more came to help the others to accomplish an impossible task. Kenneth enjoyed cooking his famous brisket for all to enjoy, as well as, fishing, dancing, traveling and the occasional trip to the casinos.
