Kathy Schroeder, 72, of China Spring, passed away Monday, June 22nd at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 11AM Saturday, June 27th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Grant officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Friday, June 26th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Kathy was born January 11, 1937 in Wortham Bend to Toss and Addie (Cotton) Stone. She married Ken Schroeder on November 16, 1956 in Waco. She served many years as an election judge for McLennan County and China Spring I.S.D. She was an Active member of China Spring Lions Club. She was a wonderful wife and loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Bonnie.

Survivors include husband of 52 years, Ken Schroeder of China Spring; sons, Wayne Schroeder and Randy Schroeder and wife, Marsha, both of China Spring; daughter, Linda Smith of China Spring; seven grandchildren; sisters, Dovie Winkelmann and husband, Wilburn and Bobbie Kimball and husband, Jim, both of China Spring, Faye Koehne of Killeen and Myrna Scott and husband, Stewart of Bosqueville; brother, Don Stone and wife, Barbara of China Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Schroeder, Tyler Smith, Steve Schroeder, Gregg Wendorf, Josh Duren, Roxanne Hodge, and Jamey Schroeder. Honorary pallbearers will be Lions Club members.
