Katherine Elisabeth Hahn passed away on October 19, 2016.
Katherine was born in Waco, Texas on May 2, 1954 to W. R. and Elisabeth Hahn. She attended Robinson High School and shortly after graduation entered the Cadet program of the Waco Police Department as the first female cadet. She went on to graduate from Baylor University and entered the teaching field. She taught English in Medina, Texas and Waco schools, and most recently at McLennan Community College. Katherine loved international travel having led many student tours abroad. She had a passion for teaching and a gift for writing.
She is survived by one sister, Barbara Frank, niece, Jennifer Faulknor and nephew, Jonathan Frank. Katherine had a kind heart and loved all animals. Memorial donations may be made to Humane Society of Central Texas (humanesocietycentraltexas.org ).
Funeral Mass Friday, November 11. St. Jerome Catholic Church (9820 Chapel Rd.) at 2 P.M.
