Karen Sue Cornett, 39, a lifetime resident of Lacy Lakeview, passed away Monday, November 8, 2010 at her residence. Services will be 10AM Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Billy Lambert and Pastor Ronnie Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Wednesday, November 10th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Karen was born February 9, 1971. She graduated from Connally High School in 1990. She worked all of her working life in the family business, Cen-Tex Muffler. She was a member of the Church of the Open Door. She enjoyed traveling, animals and crafts.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Jack Leonard Cornett.

Survivors include mother, Nelda Cornett; sister, Darleen Russell and husband Evan; nephew, Jacob Cornett; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Michael Counterman, James Cornett, Jr., Tommy Glatter, Aaron Glatter, Fred Glatter, Sammy Stinson, and Roger Stinson.
