Judith Marie Burdette passed away peacefully at her home Monday, January 16, 2023, at age 74.
Celebration of Life: 1PM Saturday, March 4 at FUMC Waco.
Judy was dedicated educator who influenced countless lives over her 40 years teaching in Nebraska and Waco. Judy was also an active member of both First United Methodist Waco and Cogdell United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader, strong Christian, phenomenal wife, mother, and her generous heart and spirit will be greatly missed.
Judy is survived by her husband, E.W. Burdette; children, Jennifer (Traudt) Findley, Natalie, and Bryan Underwood and Alan and Rachel Burdette; grandchildren, Jerusha and Isaiah Burdette; sister, Barbara Helmke; brother, David Banghart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Judy would like donations made to any organization that helps children or animals.

She was a great lady.
What a pleasure it was working with Judy. She was a talented, amazing, caring teacher. At North Waco, we had a small prayer group before school in the early morning. Her faith was strong! My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
