Juanita was born on November 11, 1922 in Axtell to Robert and Beatrice (Riley) Hightower. She was the second of eight children. She married the love of her life, James Albert Foster, on December 24, 1940, and together they had three beautiful children. Juanita and James Albert shared 39 years together until his death on July 4, 1980.

Juanita often showed her love to people not in words only, but in her actions as well. This might come in the form of cooking great meals for family and friends (a skill she developed when she took over most of the family cooking duties at the age of 10), making a quilt for someone (a talent she began to learn at the age of 19 while making tents for the military during WW2 and in other sewing jobs), and opening her home for family and friends who needed a place to live. She was an active member of Connally Heights Baptist Church for many years, and for the last few years her church family has been First Baptist Church of Elm Mott. Her love and generosity will be greatly missed by those left behind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James Albert; one son, Wayne Foster; son-in-law Donnie Bishop; and five siblings, Aubrey, Bill, Peggy, Mary Lee, and Gerald.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Goins and husband, Brad, and Blinda Bishop; daughter-in-law, June Foster; eight beloved grandchildren, Michael Goins, Rusty Goins, Kara Goins Adkins and husband, David, Jim Bart Goins and wife, Lena, Kim Gatlin and husband, Bruce, Jeff Foster and wife, Kristi, Kenny Bishop, and Jennifer Bishop Fielden and husband, Brady; many great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Bonnie Niswanger Dickerson and husband, Paul; one brother, Bobby Hightower and wife, Karen; brother-in-law Weldon Foster and wife, Grace; three sisters-in-law, Betty Foster, Mary Hightower, and Janice Hightower; as well as many nieces and nephews.
