Juan Castro

John G. Castro, 56, of Round Rock, passed away in his home Monday, December 12, 2016 after a battle with cancer.

John was born March 7, 1960 in Waco. He was a longtime resident of Waco before moving to Round Rock. John had the opportunity of living out his childhood dream working on aircrafts.

John worked for ABX Air for 25 years as a dedicated team manager to many aircraft mechanics. He taught aircraft maintenance at TSTC of Waco to many young individuals who had the same dreams. John was an excellent member of the community, fantastic husband, father, brother and friend. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. In his spare time, he enjoyed cars, spending time with his family and had a fantastic smile and sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His family extends thanks to those who helped him on his journey.

He was predeceased by his mother, Raymunda; father, Jose; and brother, Carlos.

John is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Castro; three daughters, Melinda, Christina and Erica; two sons, John and Armando; grandchildren, Angelina, Christian, Sarah, Ethan, Celeste, Kinsey, Anthony, Layla, Braydon, Mailee and Sebastian; and great-granddaughter, Rosilina.

Funeral service: 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Church of the Open Door, 900 N. Loop 340, in Bellmead with Pastor Ronnie Holmes officiating. Visitation with John’s family will begin at 1:30 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the church.

John and my husband Carl Deal and Matt Hewes and Randy Woolsey went on several motorcycle trips. I heard about how fun it was for months.
