Joyce Stone, 81, of Mart, passed away Tuesday, March 17th at Providence Hospice Place, Waco.

Funeral Service: 10AM Friday, March 20th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Criswell Cemetery.

Visitation: 6 to 8PM Thursday, March 19th at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Joyce was born September 24, 1933 in Big Hill to Elmer Adron and Ivy Opal (Simmons) Shehorn. At the age of 15, Joyce married the love of her life, Marshall Stone on February 1, 1949. She was a self employed beautician. Late in her life, she also worked at City Pharmacy in Mart. She was active in different organizations in her lifetime including VFW Auxiliary, Wilmer City Council Member, and Treasurer of Criswell Cemetery Association.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Stone; parents, Elmer A. and Ivy Shehorn, sister, Guy Nell Collinsworth; and great grandson, Jacob Watson.

Survivors include her four children, Glenda Nelms of Combine, Betty Crawford and husband Larry of Mart, Marsha World and husband Frank of Waco, and Jimmy Stone and wife Stacy of Palmer; grandchildren, Tracie Gaytan, Mark Summers, Arnie Nelms, Vincent Nelms, Aaron Watson, Brandi Whorrall, Shannon Summers, Damon Stone, Jarrett Stone; great grandchildren, Colby, Raven, Lauren, Aiden, Mason, Sarah, Logan, Collin, Cameron, Westen, Susie, Leah, and Bella; great-great grandchildren, Camden, Parker, Julian, and Prince; brother, Wade H. Shehorn and wife Ann of Waco; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
