Joseph Ryan Blain, 22, passed away June 2, 2015.

He loved the outdoors, was a certified diver and loved to fish. Joseph worked at Top Golf and excelled in just a short time of his employment. He was relocated to Georgia, and was quite proud of his job and the fact that he was spreading his wings out all on his own. Joseph was a good son, loving brother who had a special bond with his sister, Kayla, and loyal friend. He would do anything for anyone, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Joseph was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Blain; and cousin Timothy Meadows.

He is survived by his parents, Micky and Robin Blain of Allen, TX; sister, Kayla Blain of Waco; brother, Zachary Puckett and wife, Mallory of Burleson, TX; grandparents, Raymond and Paula Carey of Lacy Lakeview, TX, and Betty Blain of Waco; nieces, Addyson, Austyn, and Annastyn Puckett of Burleson; uncles, Bill Carey and wife, Angela of Bellmead, TX, Mathew Carey of Lacy Lakeview, TX, and Frank Blain and wife, Kim of Houston; aunts, Bobbie Meadows of Waco and Gina Blain of Waco; numerous other cousins and family members; and his special buddy, his cat, Peedles.

I’m very sorry for your loss. No parent should go through what you are facing. I’d give you some hugs if I could. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend, Richardson ISD scheduled graduations on Sunday. Never forget you have people around you who care and would do anything for you. God Bless

Condolence from April Deveau on June 5th, 2015 5:05 pm

I would just like to offer my condolences to this young man’s family. I did not know him, but I am friends with someone who did. I have only lost a couple of people I loved, both were before they were supposed to and after 16 years (for one, and five for the other) I still to this day feel sorrow that they are gone. However, I still think of them, I still remember the good times and fun activities we shared. Those memories are what keeps them a memory in my mind and alive in my heart. Remember the good times, and he will stay alive in your hearts as well. Gone, but never forgotten. Again, I am very sorry for your loss.

Condolence from Susan Green on June 5th, 2015 8:27 pm

I am so sorry to hear of Joe’s passing! I only knew him as the little boy who came to my house full of energy and life. I was very blessed to have known him.
I watched his graduation from High School on Facebook. I always enjoyed the pictures Robin posted and shared. I remember the posting from when the family had visited Joe earlier this year. Robin was so proud of the man he had become. My heart swelled for her. He was taken from his family much to young. I will be praying to the Lord for him to hold you in his arms during this difficult time.

Condolence from Raymond Carey (Paw Paw) on June 6th, 2015 2:23 pm

The old fishing dock is still standing over the Pond across the way.
I taught you how to fish on it, seems like yesterday.

I can still hear you saying “Paw Paw” I can’t even get a bite.
Have a little patience Joseph and your catch a fish alright.

We had a lot of good times when summer came around.
Fishing, swimming, boating and the Crawdads that we found.

I still have the old Fly Rod you used to catch those shiny Perch.
It sits in the corner dusty, it don’t get much work.

Children grow up and have their own path to take.
Paw Paws just get older and start looking for some shade.

Micky, Robin, Kayla, and Zack I am sincerely sorry for the loss of Joe. He sure was a great kid with a big heart. God picked you all to be his family, his parents, and you can remember all he was and be proud of the job you carried out. There are no words that can take away your pain of losing him but he will live on in each of your hearts until you reunite in heaven. He is now in eternal peace in the arms of God. May God bless each of you and comfort you through this most difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
