John Pierce Faulkner, II., 72, of Temple, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at his residence.
Military Graveside Service: 1 PM Wednesday, March 16 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
John was born June 8, 1949 in Destin, Florida to James, Sr and Fanny (Smith) Faulkner. He loved BBQ and his dogs. Recently, he was mourning the loss of his very special dog. John was known for his long curly beard, which reminded people of Santa. He enjoyed fishing and tent camping. According to John, ”a darned old trailer” would just never be right! John preferred a spotless, tidy home. He served in the United States Army from 1967-1970, earning several medals such as the Vietnam Service Medal.
John was preceded in death by his son; Nash Faulkner (2017); his daughter; Marcie Faulkner (2013).
John is survived by his daughter; Julianna Thomas and grandson; Caleb Falkner.
