John Paul “Tex” Teems

John passed away peacefully the morning of Wednesday, November 20, 2019 with his head on his daughter, Melanie’s shoulder and his wife, Nicole by his side.

Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 2, 2019 at Brookdale Lake Brazos, 3801 N M.L.K. Jr Blvd.

John Paul “Tex” Teems was born August 7, 1936 in Hobart Oklahoma and raised in a happy family with four sisters and two brothers. He attended all his school years in Hobart and played football during his high school years. John enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1955, defending and protecting his country 23 years. During that time, John fought in the Six-Day War and the Vietnam War. He met and married his wife of 59 years, Nicole when he was stationed at Chambley Air Force Base, France. John taught his daughters, Catherine and Melanie to shoot, fish, ride horses and to respect their country and their elders. He spent many hours reading westerns, fishing and watching Sooner football. John was also a big Dallas Cowboy fan.

He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends.
