John Horace Kelly, 83, of Waco, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at St. Catherine Center in Waco. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Crawford Cemetery, officiated by Chaplain Kelly and Dr. Anthony Cahill. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, December 2 at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco. John Horace Kelly was born on June 15, 1930 to Marlan and Ruth Ellen (Reed) Kelly in Wheeler, Texas. He graduated in 1949 from Wheeler High School, and in the fall of 1949, he married Anna V. Hefley in Clovis, NM. God blessed them with a beautiful family.

John worked for Phillips Petroleum in Borger. In 1953, he transferred with the company to McGregor. After 30 years of service, he retired from Hercules in 1983.

John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Anna V. Kelly; three sons, Phil and wife, Doris Kelly, Steven and wife, Patricia Kelly, and
