John C. Buck

BUCK

John Carl Buck, 80, of Mart, passed away quietly with his family by his side at his residence Tuesday, April 27, 2021.  He was a veteran of the USN for two tours, serving his country honorably. His prior job aspirations were a ranch hand, truck driver and worked as an EMT.

He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was very kind and had a very caring heart, and one of his greatest loves was helping others in need which he devoted a lot of his free time. If he wasn’t with his family, he was doing hobbies like watching NASCAR or cooking in the kitchen. He was an animal lover and spent time with his two dogs, Tinkerbell and Hank, who meant the world to him.

He leaves behind a loving wife, Linda of 22 years of marriage; his daughters, Juanita Barnhhart and husband Bill, Jessica Dupree and husband, Kyle, Danica Hall and husband, Jason, and Dayla Farquar and husband, Corey; and numerous grandchildren and other relatives. He is also survived by his very close “half brother” Randy Thornton, whom he loved dearly.

He will be missed and loved by all who knew him.
