Condolence Messages

  1. I had the pleasure of meeting her while she was at St. Catherine’s. When I came to her she always had a smile for me and was willing to give everything her best shot. She will be missed. To the family, my prayers and thoughts are with you.

  2. Aunty Jo was more than a relative: she was a role model in fun, focus, and dealing with life’s sidewinders with poise and strength in illness and faith in God. She was outside my birth and told me in her final days, "I loved you from the start–loved you, loved you, LOVED you." Which I knew from childhood, but to hear it at her passing hours completed the circle of the years of life we shared for 65 years. I sang a favorite hymn, "It Is Well with My Soul" many times each day, hearing her mother’s voice singing it next to me, as in childhood church. Walking back into her room, the words to "Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling" flashed into my mind, and I HAD to sing it, changing the last line to "Calling Aunty Jo to come home." She did. Sing your loved ones to heaven–such a blessing for them & for you.
